Billabong became his first sponsor, and from there, he began a rather meteoric rise in the skateboarding world. He is known for his showmanship and unique style, and for his multiple side projects. In addition to his busy skateboarding schedule, he also collaborated with Dallas Stokes to create a line of skatewear, and a popular shoe line under the Black Sheep label. He later sold the label, and used a portion of the profits to found the “Be Cool” skating clinics in inner city Los Angeles.
