While attending college he left to focus on his job of being a handyman. He started the remodeling business Lipford Construction in 1978. He joined The Weather Channel in 2000 as a home improvement expert. Danny Lipford served as the home improvement contributor for CBS This Morning and the Early Show. He has served as a contributing editor for Better Homes and gardens magazine.
