He played for the Bullets from 1983 to 1990 and for the Utah Jazz from 1990 to 1994. Malone played for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1994 to 1996 and for the Miami Heat in 1996. He was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1984 and was an NBA All-Star in 1986 and 1987. Jeff Malone was a coach in the IBL and NBA developmental leagues from 2000 to 2006.
